Discussion
Many times when I am in the midst of facilitating a very painful relational conflict or collective group situation, I sense that facilitation is an action of Love. I feel that all I have to do is give myself freely to the situation and all its parts. In that moment Nature is my Ally.
In this seminar, we will explore Deep Ecology from the perspective of Process Work and Joana Macy. Deep Ecology is a moment when a human being chooses to collaborate in harmony with the environment, the earth and their evolutionary cycles. The human being is not above or outside of this interconnection with nature and all its living beings from the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms.
The concept of deep ecology was initially introduced in 1973 by Arne Dekke Eide Næss as a theoretical term, but it has been transformed over time into a movement that encourages and supports humanity as a whole to live in greater harmony with nature. A movement that supports “Biocentric Equality” meaning that all existence has a place regardless of the degree of consciousness or self-determination. Supports the existence of diversity and interconnectedness.
