What might remain that could not be dropped or taken away?

LEARNING AREAS

Discussion

Are you more than these? What might remain that could not be dropped or taken away? Is your name you, is your body you, are you your thinking? Is there some fundamental essence of you that has never arrived and therefore can never leave?

The meeting on Zoom is more about unlearning rather than learning or teaching, it is a laboratory more than a classroom. In this period we have together we will spend half of our time in a guided meditation giving the opportunity to enter experientially the nature of our own sense of self or “I Am-ness”, unmixed with concepts, ideas, and identities, where the lover and the beloved always meet as one. Then following there will be an opportunity for discussion regarding questions that come up from the meditation. (Here meditation is not something we do or practice, it is seen to be what we are.)

About Your Teacher

Conor McKenna

Author & Processwork Teacher

Conor Writes: I am a Process Work Diplomate and a founder member in the 1980s of Process Work UK. Since that time I have been a practicing psychotherapist, supervisor, and group leader in Edinburgh, Scotland. Together with my wife Clare Hill, we have also run groups in diverse places such a Belize, Columbia, Poland, Ireland, and Sweden to name a few. We have also been part of the teams developing Process Work schools in Slovakia, Poland, and Russia. At this time I am semi-retired working mainly with clients on Zoom.

The more intimate and “inner” journey of my life (which is not a journey) has always been one of spirit. From this point of view, nothing has ever happened. Consciousness, unmixed with experience, has shown itself to be eternally still, peaceful, unlimited, and empty of content. I focus now exclusively on this intimate expression within myself and the world.

In my spare time, I like to work with my hands – I paint, make furniture and picture frames and I also like to walk.
