We live our lives as if the dead are separate from us, over there, in some other, far away, unreachable realm

But what if accessing thier wisdom is closer than you think?

Discussion

We live our lives as if the dead are separate from us, over there, in some other, far away, unreachable realm. We grieve our dead, we build beautiful altars, hold ceremonies and memorial services but what if our lives could be enriched by being in relation with our ancestors?

In my own lived experience, it is not only possible to continue relating to the dead, but some conversations can only be had after death. I personally feel deeply inspired by the notion of being in a circular dialogue with the dead, where on the one hand our lives are a continuation of their quests, and on the other, their access to a deeper dimension can provide perspective and guidance for our journey in life. And especially in this time, where we are surrounded by so much death and dying, it might be especially important to reconnect with the legacies and guidance of our ancestors.

Join us on this special day of Halloween, where “the souls of the dead return to their homes,” for a meditation with the ancestors where we will ask for guidance from the dead.
